Minimum Qualifications
Must have at least four (4) years of full-time experience working under a journey-level Plumber, which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in the Plumbing trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses at a school or institute may be submitted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis. Experience must include the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial plumbing systems and fixtures. It is desirable that candidates have some experience in other recognized skilled trades such as electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. A person appointed to this title will be required to obtain a CDL permit within 30 days of appointment and must obtain a CDL B license as a condition of satisfactory completion of the probation period.
Duties Description
Candidate's work would include the installation, repair, testing and troubleshooting of plumbing systems, including, but not limited to, water supply, sanitary waste, compressed air systems, and associated fixtures. Duties may include other building trade work.
