GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Khurana Laboratory at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated senior-level technician to join our efforts in understanding and reversing the consequences of abnormal protein folding and genetic variant susceptibility in neurodegenerative diseases. The laboratory applies cutting edge stem cell technologies and genome editing to address this problem.
The successful candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to perform multiple detail-oriented tasks including molecular biology, stem cell culture and differentiation approaches. The position requires a candidate with a track record of working independently but also someone who can work in a coordinated manner with several members of a research team. While most time will be dedicated to hands-on activities, duties will also include assisting graduate students and postdoctoral fellows performing various procedures, ordering laboratory supplies and maintaining general laboratory organization, and supervising junior technicians and students. There are certainly opportunities for independent projects, but this is not the primary objective of this role. As a future perspective, there is a strong possibility of this role leading to a managerial position in the lab. Tuition reimbursement is available to full-time employees for additional training opportunities. In addition to completing the online application, the complete application should be sent to Dr. Joanna A. Korecka-Roet at ****.
