Global Technical Services, LLC (GTS) is seeking resumes for a Junior Field Support Technician .
Selection and assignment of actual work commencement will be contingent on actual contract award. Possible location is OCONUS and CONUS (Sierra Vista, AZ).
SUMMARY:
To install, perform basic troubleshooting and repair, and train users on new or existing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) equipment and or systems on US Army Forward Operating Bases (FOB) and Contingency Operating Bases (COB). Reports to the Senior Field Support Technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation of new or existing ISR equipment and/or systems.
Train users and Rapid Equipping Force (REF) Operational Support Team (OST) personnel on selected REF supported items as appropriate.
Assist with initial inspection and basic troubleshooting of REF ISR and/or like equipment.
Perform basic forward repairs where practicable.
Recommend evacuation of items and determine repair parts requirements.
Pack, wrap, and ship (PWS) equipment being evacuated to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
Ship Not Mission Capable (NMC) equipment under warranty to the OEM for repairs and coordinate for Return Materiel Authorization (RMA) numbers.
Repair and/or replace damaged systems as required in order to maintain an Operational Readiness (OR) rate of 90% or higher for each REF-sustained system or product.
Capture demand history of repair parts on failed systems and recommend appropriate repair parts stockage levels.
Maintain accurate and complete record of repair actions.
This position may be located at either a Government or contractor's facility as required, and reports to the Senior Field Support Technician. NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Requirements :
Required (Minimum) Qualifications:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum/General Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience installing, maintaining, repairing, and training of ISR or like equipment. At least 5 years of relevant experience is required if candidate does not possess an Associate’s degree.
Recent experience (within the last 24 months) operating, maintaining, and repairing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and/or like systems.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining military communications, electrical, and electronics systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Desire to learn new technology and for continuous improvement of processes and personal development.
Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing requirements, and handle multiple tasks while meeting key deadlines.
Ability to operate as a member of a strong team as well as work independently to complete daily tasks and report status as required.
Strong communications skills.
Driven and highly motivated team member.
Preferred:
Certification in HAZMAT preparation for air transportation recommended.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.
