Laborer Jobs

A laborer performs work of a manual nature and such jobs are found in various industries. A laborer can be a construction laborer, poultry farm laborer, electrical laborer, etc. A construction laborer may perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects. A construction laborer may operate hand and power tools of all types such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and small mechanical hoists. A laborer job may require operating small trucks to pick up items for delivery, and unloading truck and stock items in storerooms. A laborer may be required to use hammer, pliers, utility knife, tape measure, vise-grips wrench, screwdriver, margin trowel, carpenter's pencil or soapstone, and tool belt. A laborer performs work under the immediate direction of a supervisor.

A laborer job generally does not require any educational qualifications. However, a high school diploma would be advantageous. Appropriate knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment is important. Some positions may ask for experience. Physical fitness is essential for a laborer job.
