Job Description:
This Maintenance Planning Superintendent position is a key role in our QGC operations leadership team, developing, influencing and supporting recommendations and decisions in respect of the strategy, business plan and organisation of the Upstream asset. The incumbent will be accountable for the safe and efficient execution of the maintenance plan to maintain the safety, integrity and high availability and reliability of wellsites and facilities
Some of the key deliverables and accountabilities of this role are:
Proactively identify, communicate and mitigate key business, safety, operational and compliance risks.
Review long range work management trends and take action to avoid issues relating to resource levelling and work congestion.
Set the standard on work quality and workmanship ensuring proper work execution in line with the relevant maintenance strategy.
Ensure high quality closure of all Work Orders in accordance with procedures in the Work Management System.
Ensure the use of appropriate Problem Cause Remedy codes in the closure of corrective maintenance work orders.
Work with the Turnaround team to agree resource release for planning and execution of Turnarounds
Identify training and competency gaps and work with Maintenance Function and Training teams to prioritise and action
Provide feedback to the Maintenance Systems Superintendent in relation to the appropriateness of Maintenance Strategies and their execution
Ensure site participation in the execution of maintenance strategy reviews and provide feedback on any strategy gaps
Support effective contractor management, supporting the Operations manager in their role as Demand and Execution manager.
Ensure compliance with maintenance plans, prioritise, and measure unplanned work scopes.
Optimisation of maintenance man-hours and minimise equipment breakdown by critically assessing maintenance practices

Requirements:
The candidate we are therefore seeking for this position, will have/be;
Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline or relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in the development of policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety monitoring systems.
Extensive experience in operations and maintenance from either onshore/offshore gas, oil or refining facilities in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience managing, coaching and developing staff; managing performance appraisals and setting objectives.
Ability to identify emerging trends and can foresee maintenance risks and opportunities.
Knowledge of the gas production process for gas or oil producing facilities.
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively & lead effectively in/and across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, whilst maintaining a high work level of work ethic, being able to work autonomously and being passionate about diving our company’s performance individually and through others.
