The Winslow Public Library has an opening for a Youth Services Technician. This is a part-time, 20-hr a week position, with some evening and weekend hours required.
The Youth Services Technician works under the general guidance and supervision of the Library Director.
Responsibilities include
Programming and outreach services for children and pre-teens.
Provision of reference & circulation services for the children's area.
Computer use guidance for young patrons.
Use of social networking platforms to communicate library services and programs to patrons.
Supervision of volunteer assistants for youth programs.
Experience working in a library or educational setting, a Bachelor's degree, proficiency with technology and experience with children, demonstrated knowledge of current children's education, literature and programming are a priority.
Candidates with a combination of comparable education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities welcome.
A full job description will be provided on request. Salary for the position is $15.66 an hour. Winslow participates jointly with employees in Social Security payments.
