Job Description:
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance execution for defined scopes on Upstream assets. The role will deliver high quality and efficient work execution.
The role will be based in Kumbarilla Ruby Jo, working a 15:13 roster.

Your accountabilities:
Day to day leadership and direction of a team of Mechanical technicians with a focus on delivering work safely and to the agreed plans.
Ensure the optimum use of resources and feedback to the Supervisor and Planning teams where opportunities arise.
Ensures Mechanical technician quality standards are upheld in work execution.
Conduct plant & well walkdowns to ensure new work is identified and entered into the CMMS.
Ensure SCE maintenance is delivered on time and as planned.
Manage the on-site relationship and interface with key support contractors.
Ensures work is prepared for execution including the availability of parts, tooling, equipment and contractors as required.
Liaises with the Service Coordinators to ensure preparation activities are completed.
Undertake incident investigations, FIM reporting, and support causal learning workshops (as required).
Manage team administrative and support tasks (e.g., Journey Management, completion of tooling checks / calibrations, BAC tests, LAAR applications, ensuring completion of vehicle checks & coordination of Fleet support, etc.).
Completion of assurance activities (LOD1, A&A, PTW compliance, etc.).
Ensure the minimum competency of the team is current.
Ensure continuous improvement by ensuring the team uses red line mark ups and the change request system.
Ensure all work is closed and updated correctly in the CMMS.
Participate in continuous improvement discussion with Technical function.
Set expectation on work productivity and remove productivity blockers.
Stand in as Maintenance Supervisor to provide coverage as required.
Share common lessons between areas.
What we need from you
We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:
Mechanical trade or equivalent qualification
Demonstrated experience in leading a team of technicians in an Oil and Gas or Process environment
Previous maintenance experience working in heavy industry, ideally within oil & gas, petrochemical
Experience with Electric Driven Compression equipment desirable, experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety monitoring systems
Be able to demonstrate knowledge of hazardous areas in gas plant, demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience using CMMS systems to record asset history, failure reporting, work logs and hours – Maximo experience would be highly regarded
Knowledge and experience with the use of P&ID’s
High level of organizational skills, excellent time management skills
Experience in supporting the resolution of complex problems in operational facilities management, ability to use appropriate structured tools and processes to deliver plant performance improvement
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with proven ability to engage with a broad spectrum of people; team player, participating in the attainment of team goals, encouraging and leading continuous improvement
Ability to think widely to solve complex technical problems using innovative solutions
Proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behavior and actions
