Roles and Responsibilities:


Manage Warehouse Arrangement.
Manage the warehousing activities and resources: Lead, direct, and manage the materials management organization; Manage the relationship with warehousing providers and define the service performance expected; Enforce safety, security, and environmental procedures and standards.
Define and implement optimized warehouse layout.
Support staffing of the GeoUnit Materials Management Team and develop their competencies.
Enforce the use of company standards and industry best practices in warehousing procedures: Maintain materials transaction accuracy accountability, both physically and as recorded in the Warehouse Management System; Ensure warehousing best practice are implemented; Share feedback on best practices implementation with the GeoUnit Distribution Manager to contribute to global distribution continuous improvement.
Manage the GeoUnitwarehousing performance and inventory level: Ensure physical and cycle counting programs are completed to schedule and closed according to policy; Manage the inventory level (stock value, DSOH, and slow-moving indicators); Drive continuous improvement and the use of LEAN tools to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs; Monitor the performance of third-party warehousing providers if relevant (costs, service); Provide regular performance reports at GeoUnit level on materials management.
Engages with internal (Business Line) stakeholders to ensure the right level of logistics support is delivered as per the need of our (internal) customers.
Build, train and motivate an effective logistics team in the GeoUnit or Central logistics team.
Provide on-time logistics at cost-competitive costs to operations.
Drive logistics cost savings initiatives related to Domestic and IE processes when in the GeoUnit or for international freight and hub operations from SSC level. Implement programs resulting in continuous improvement of service levels to the field.
Manage the logistics team and enforce related processes and systems.
Conduct monthly performance reviews with operations/stakeholders and KPI reporting.
Analyze spend monthly and drive improvement initiatives including optimizing rental versus call out equipment, defining vendor strategies, optimizing rate application, establishing fixed schedules/milk runs on high volume lanes, etc.
Account for the domestic T&M spends a percentage of revenue and domestic performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with land transport contractor guidelines, HSE policies, and local regulations (including DG) and ensures shipment execution follows the Schlumberger standards.
Ensure full compliance with country-specific trade regulations & requirements as well as Schlumberger policies.
Manage vendor quarterly business reviews with domestic logistics vendors and customs brokers, and/or international freight forwards and engagement with P&S to deliver expected service quality.
Perform monthly invoice audits to ensure contract compliance in billing processes.
Ensure the logistics activities are delivered according to SLB standards and policies.
Ensure import and export processes are executed timely, in the most cost-effective way and in compliance with regulations.
Ensure proper training of team members--on both processes and systems--to maximize SQ to BL.
Communicate with internal customers on a regular basis to ensure that the service level provided is according to customer’s expectation.
Assist Category Manager—Logistics in setting up effective logistics supplier base for served logistics network
Work closely with HR to ensure adequate recruitment, staffing, career development, and training of distribution resources
Reporting line is into GU SC manager or into the SSC organization where applicable / based on location of the role. Based on the size of the logistics organization covered by the Logistics Manager, this role may have logistics supervisors reporting to him/her.


Qualifications and Experience:


Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
Master’s in Supply Chain and/or Logistics desired .
Proficient in Oracle MRP.
Lean Six Sigma experience.
Management skills (direct/indirect reports).
Self-starter, takes initiative, proactive follow up and follows through.
Strong critical analytical thinking skills.
Strong Project Management skills with high degree of coordination and control.
MS Office with strong expertise in Excel and creating PowerPoint summaries.
PowerBI knowledge desired.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
