Description
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
Responsibilities
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 may contact physicians, members, and other internal and external partners for intervention and clarification on active shipments sent from the Specialty Pharmacy. This role also supports Pharmacists and Peers by ensuring daily orders are communicated upon and shipped out on time, including the physical picking and packing of orders as needed. Associate will also work directly with UPS to prevent re-shipments and facilitate timely deliveries. Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
Earn a $500 hiring bonus! Bonus is paid after 180 days of employment; you must be employed until that date to be eligible to receive the payment.
Required Qualifications
National Certification: PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT
Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
Customer service/phone experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
QMSI knowledge desired
SMED experience desired
