Essential Functions: Performs routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. Installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers. Performs standard vehicle repairs such as changing brake pads and rotors, replacing fluids and replacing batteries. Maintains records of maintenance and vehicle services. Assists other mechanics as needed. Cleans and washes company vehicles. Uses manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems with vehicles. Tests parts and systems to ensure they work correctly. Repairs and replaces worn, old defective parts. Perform emission inspections, safety checks, and similar state-regulated vehicle examination. Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of auto mechanic experience specializing in foreign and American cars and trucks required. Previous experience with electrical and diesel preferred.Special Requirements/Certification: Automotive Mechanic trade school certificate preferred. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Valid Class B Driver’s license with passenger endorsement preferred. Ability to comply with DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements.
