Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping the organization achieve maintenance excellence/reliability improvements by providing key knowledge and understanding of the execution of tasks conducted by the maintenance crew.
Specific Duties:
Serve as a secondary contact for emergency work
Coordinate maintenance crews and execution of jobs with third parties. Troubleshoot causes of equipment break-downs and make repairs
Work with maintenance Technical Support team, Operations and Engineering Services on identified bad actors, root cause analysis and reliability issues when required
Assist with job scopes, estimates, and timing for future execution of work
Work with schedulers to set future execution of work. Identify process break down planning issues for review with planners
Implement daily work schedules, Manage backlog by close coordination with the area maintenance supervisor
Communicate scheduled work to assigned maintenance crews
Identify any delays that would prevent schedule attainment, Resolve basic troubleshooting issues
Review the need for overtime and communicate with the maintenance supervisor
Manage break in jobs by close coordination with the maintenance supervisor
Daily status updates with supervisor, maintenance crews, area supervisors
Coordinate required equipment for week work and plan for the upcoming week
Save works packages and coordinate SAP data entry as required
Communicate planned work to all personnel involved
Ensure all jobs have discreet PO’s prior to executing work week. Approve maintenance crew time, ensuring correct PO is referenced
Contact vendors for information when required.

Comply with all Safety and Environmental procedures, regulations, and standards
Dimensions Special Challenges:
Overtime as required (Work in the off hours in order to handle operating problems and meet business objectives during outages, turnarounds, commissioning and start-ups)
Must be willing and able to work at heights, confined spaces, and extended periods in adverse weather
Must be able to use breathing air systems (SCBA & SABA)
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3
years of oil & gas production operations and/or experience in a maintenance crew, Understanding of maintenance processes
Prior military experience in a relevant job function such as Aircraft maintenance, Aviation Boatswain Mate, Diesel Mechanic, Fuels/Maintenance Specialist, Petroleum fuels/supply Specialist, Nuclear Mechanic, Plant Operations, Gas turbine Technician, Machinist, Power Plant Mechanic/Operator, Hydraulic Technician or Valve Repair Technician
Willingness to learn Shell’s processes and procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Commitment to safety, continuous learning; Environmentally focused
Must possess a current, valid driver's license
Willingness to work in inclement weather, work at heights, walk on high elevation grating, and safely lift up to 45lbs
Ability to work flexible schedules
Willingness to work in small, confined places, and to walk up/down steps
Ability to work flexible schedules
Ability to work with Shell staff and various electrical contractors
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Adherence to Operational processes including PTW, LOTO, HSSE and other management processes
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently

Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
