Job Description

This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and or long distances while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These positions are responsible for pickup of live chickens in cages from Growers at the various chicken houses. Must keep truck and equipment in good working order. Must be able to work in outside hot or cold and dusty environments. Must be able to climb up and down stairs to get to/from the work areas and steps in/out of the trucks. Must be able to run a loader for a catch crew and drive as needed.

Job Requirements

Position will be for 2ND shift (nights).

This facility may run 7 days a week, Sunday-Saturday.

Must have and maintain Commercial Driver's License.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must have at least 1 year CDL driving experience.

Must have previous experience driving tractor/trailer.

Must have a good driving record.

Must have a current DOT medical card.

Must be able to read, write and have a good basic knowledge of math.

Bending, pulling, twisting, turning, and good hand/eye/foot coordination is required.

Must have general knowledge of locations of all broiler and breeder farms.
