POSITION SUMMARY: Hourly food service TEAM members are responsible for the successful daily operations of our cafeteria and catering departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The team member in this position may be required to work in one or more of the following capacities: Operation of ware-washing machine and three bay pot sinks; Removal of waste and recyclables from inside the facility; Equipment care, routine and daily cleaning duties, as assigned; Receiving, handling and rotation of goods and inventory; Team member in this position may also participate in low skill/light food preparation duties, and perform other duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma and/or 1 yrs in a foodservice or hospitality role is preferred, but NOT required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50lbs, bend, twist, stoop and reach frequently for the duration of shift, as well as walk or stand for 8 hours on hard surfaces; Ability to withstand routine and repetitive work for the duration of shift; Ability to tolerate hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time, while performing job functions; Ability to work safely and unrestricted with ware-washing and kitchen equipment
Special Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a TEAM; Ability to understand and carry out tasks assigned by managers; knowledge of basic culinary and kitchen terminology is preferred; ServeSafe or food handlers’ certification is preferred, but NOT required.
