FlowMetric, a KCAS company, is looking for a dynamic Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated team of scientists who focus on Client Service and Quality, located at our laboratories in Doylestown, PA. The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic, forward thinking, and possess outstanding technical skills, organizational awareness, and a commitment to excellence in their work.

As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for the preparation of media, buffers, and reagents within a GLP laboratory environment. You are also responsible for order receipt and reagent/supply restocking of the laboratories, as well as sample receipt under GLP guidelines.

In this role, we will rely on you to:

n
    n
  • Maintain Laboratory Equipment Logbooks and maintenance records as per GLP requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • n
  • Support in the organization of GLP documentation regarding laboratory activities.
  • n
  • Receive and store clinical samples as per GLP guidelines
  • n
  • Receive and restock all laboratory supplies as needed.
  • n
  • Prepare media and buffers as requested by other team members and ensure that reagents on hand for use are non-expired.
  • n
  • Train and perform back-up archivist role as assigned.
  • n
  • Maintain the chemical inventory for the FM labs.
  • n
  • Verify and maintain a checklist documenting the SOP training of all laboratory personnel.
  • n
  • Perform any other duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, immunology related discipline is required.
  • n
  • Basic math skills and a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems is required for this role.
  • n
  • A well-developed work ethic is essential, coupled with a strong motivation to complete tasks, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • n
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work with a team.
