SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing a variety of building and grounds duties both semi-skilled and skilled functions in proper maintenance at our Dakota City North Admin building. Other duties include: perform electrical work with the ability to install troubleshoot and repair a wide range of electrical components; perform plumbing work with the ability to install troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures; replaces and installs lawn sprinkler system parts; performs necessary repairs to buildings hardware components. Acoustical ceiling walls flooring cabinets and painting of interior and exterior finishes; perform miscellaneous assembling moving reconfiguring and transporting of office furniture; coordinate assigned tasks with outside contractors and assure contractors are adhering to Tyson s safety policies and procedures; other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: HS Diploma; Any associate technical maintenance or vocational school degrees a plus.
Experience: 2 plus years in building or facility maintenance related fields preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and communication skills; ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
Physical Environmental Requirements: Ability to lift 50 plus pounds; the nature of this job will also involve periodic exposure to outdoors conditions during the summer and winter months
Travel: Local
Other Requirements: Have a valid driver license; requires physical strength and agility necessary to perform lifting of 50 LBS or more. This position may work after hours and on weekends to perform routine and emergency call-in repairs as needed. Dependable and has a good attendance record.
