MAINTENANCE MECHANIC:
The Maintenance Mechanic provides technical expertise and performs routine general maintenance on the machinery in the plant including troubleshooting and making routine repairs to ensure our machinery is operating at optimal capacity and efficiency.
Description:
· Provide technical expertise to the production department so they can maintain high efficiencies and quality output resulting in low scrap rates.
· Troubleshoot and resolve production problems on all equipment.
· Assist in setting up and debugging equipment and processes.
· Coordinate materials needed to repair equipment with the Maintenance Manager.
· Provide general maintenance of equipment, including, but not limited to, vacuuming and cleaning conveyer systems.
· Preventative maintenance on hydraulic and blender systems.
· Willing to work well with others and teach those with less experience.
· Work safely and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Follow company policies and procedures and wear Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain machinery.
· Results oriented attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines.
· Knowledge of proper use of welding and cutting torches.
· Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical a plus.
· Ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical a plus.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Able to read and write English.
· At least 5 years' experience in maintenance, including preventative, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Physical Requirements:
· Physically able to perform the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Able to bend or kneel frequently.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
