POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for set up, operation, adjustment, and minor repair of packaging equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applicants will be considered for a Machine Operator opening in the RTE Departments to operate packaging lines within Tyson specifications and with minimal downtime and meat waste.
Utilize Vorne scanners to track line performance, monitor quality of meat and materials ensure that safety and proper food handling procedures are upheld.
Complete necessary SAP transacations and accurately complete assigned documentation.
Instruct and assign tasks related to the operation of the line and other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead person.
Be willing and able to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift, be able to lift up 40-60 pounds repeatedly, be able to walk and stand on cement floor for the shift duration.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge, and ability to assess equipment and demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets.
Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed and all shifts.
Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 - 60 pounds repeatedly.

6-month operator experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
