Corydon - Maintenance Lead - 1st Shift

Profile

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Must be able to troubleshoot, examine, diagnose machine malfunctions, both electrical and mechanical. Inspect/perform repairs as well as preventative maintenance. Check all fluid levels and fabricate parts for machinery. Install general plumbing and lines. Rebuild machines and install from blueprint specifications. Maintain inventory of parts and log all jobs in Kiosk system.

Provide daily shift summary, Verify work orders are being completed, Verify time is being put in SAP correctly, Make multiple rounds daily throughout the plant, Ensure notifications are being put in, Ensure shops are cleaned daily, Ensure all preventative maintenance is being done correctly, Verify mechanics are filling out work order permits, Verify mechanics are completing notifications of repair, Learn all areas of the plant. All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Must be at M4 level or acquire M4 level within 18 months.

Have 1 yr maintenance experience

Good attendance record

Basic computer skills

Have the ability to recognize potential problems, troubleshoot and take corrective action to solve problem.

Ability to read/understand written/oral instruction to include blueprints, design layouts and Material Safety Data Sheets

Welding/Cutting Experience

Work in cold/wet conditions.

Wear PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
