SUMMARY: This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes directing coordinating and supporting maintenance personnel; working with contractors vendors or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment; and troubleshooting and resolving new and or different technical problems regarding equipment. Other Responsibilities: Maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented; instructing in the use of personal protective equipment; and implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility. Skill development of team members. This position is also responsible for coordinating Team Member schedules handling time and attendance records holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses. Electrical Engineering or similar electronics training preferred.

Experience: 3 plus years experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred. Experience with Electronics and Automation preferred.

Computer Skills: Elementary computer skills; for example checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries.

Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.

Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities and then external applicants.
Candidates for Management and Management Support positions must not have more than 4.0 attendance points.
Must meet the minimum requirements to include position-specific requirements as listed on the job posting.
Applicants cannot have more than 1 Written Warning in the last 12 months. Applicants may not have a Written Warning w/Suspension or Core Safety Mandate violation in the last 12 months.
