Our client is a provider of affordable housing and support services in the East Midlands.
They are currently seeking a Voids and Depot Supervisor to join their team in Wellingborough. The main purpose of this role is to deal with the day-to-day management of the voids process, providing technical expertise to ensure an effective service is delivered.
Your main responsibilities will include:
● Ensuring the effective management of operatives and associated contractors in line with service standards
● Liaising with relevant areas of the business to ensure an efficient void process with quick turnaround times
● Undertaking property inspections to identify repairs and defects to be rectified during the void period and post-inspect work to ensure quality service standards have been met
● Leading and motivating the void operative team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the void service
● Ensuring the delivery of KPI’s and OPI’s, ensuring action is taken to ensure performance is met
● Engaging with consultants and contractors to meet operational requirements
● Identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring that they are dealt with
The successful candidate will:
● Hold a recognised professional building qualification or equivalent
● Have experience of specifying, managing, monitoring, and challenging the word of mechanical and electrical engineering and / or trades contractors and assessing the quality of their work
● Have experience of working within a building and surveying environment
● Have proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines and prioritising workloads
● Have experience of carrying out fire safety inspection / surveys
● Have knowledge of the current social housing environment including regulatory standards, construction regulations and health and safety legislation
● Be a strong communicator
● Hold a full UK driving licence with access to a car for work purposes
It would be advantageous for you to:
● Hold CIH or CIOB membership
● Hold qualifications relating to health and safety, fire safety and / or asbestos surveying
● Have experience of cyclical compliance of mechanical and electrical maintenance
● Have experience of working with NHF Schedule of Rates
● Have knowledge of maintenance and inspection regime for fire systems, passenger lifts and electrical systems
● Be confident in the use of MS word and Excel
