Description
The Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technician 3 integrates programs developed to improve overall health outcomes with a focus on prescription drugs. The Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Pharmacy Technician 3 assists the Pharmacist by obtaining required information for prior authorizations for medications. Responsibilities included:
Oversees medication therapy, strategy on comprehensive medication reviews, and prescription drug optimization in cases where patients are taking multiple medications.
Drives health awareness with patients through Rx Education and targeted quarterly campaigns. Places outbound calls to confirm patients are taking drugs and provides counseling.
Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
Required Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician in Florida
1 years experience in a pharmacy setting
1 year in a position with data entry skills: specifically using Word, Excel and Outlook, with ability to easily navigate multiple applications
High school diploma or equivalent
Weekend rotation (Sat/Sun), 8AM-5PM
Will work a Mon-Fri shift between the hours of 8A & 8PM
11 to 8 rotation, possible overtime based upon business need
Must reside in the state of Florida
Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or Cable modem for Home office; optimal speed is 10Mx1M
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicare Part D
Bilingual - English/Spanish
