Role Description
Our team is seeking a Central Maintenance Supervisor that will be accountable for managing a diverse team of highly engaged Field Coordinators and Technicians who focus on execution decisions, longer-term strategic planning, alignment and prioritization of resources based on the business need. Through your guidance and supervision, your direct team will collaborate between various stakeholder teams to ensure adequate support to allow safe, effective, and efficient maintenance execution for reliable assets in accordance with Shell Global Maintenance Execution (ME) standards.
Within this role, you will be actively engaged with various site stakeholders to ensure that they can provide the business deliverables for the in-year plan as well as look to further years for activities such as projects and turn arounds. You will also hold accountability to support project commissioning activities along with capital project execution responsibility for areas such as CUI/CUF. A large portion of your role would be to assist the areas and to align priorities between Routine and Non-Routine Maintenance Execution to ensure that workforce and business deliverables are achieved with safety as the number one principle. Given this is a very hands-on role, the expectation would be to work in collaboration with the team from our Energy & Chemicals Park in Fort Saskatchewan, AB most days of the week with some opportunity to work remotely approximately one day per week if desired.
Accountabilities:
Partner with scheduling, projects, and turnaround team members to optimize resource deployment within various assets to maximize value and minimize risk
Responsible forCentral Servicesbudget including develop annual budget, weekly and monthly reviews of spent against Budget and developing forecast, month end accruals activities, and developing accurate estimates
Develop a cost and business minded team through coordinating with the Production and Engineering teams to adjust and minimize future costs while maintaining budget and managing risk
Develop detailed goals framework and development plans for direct reports while providing coaching and direction to all reports to aid in achieving personal development targets
Ensure direct reports have clear understanding of their role and expectations including assigning work priorities forField Coordinators
Ensure safe and effective work execution by interfacing with work teams to reinforce safe working habits, Goal Zero behaviors and job site hazard identification including visible safety leadership, permit to work audits and planned inspections
Manage unexpected maintenance or production incidents and minimizing maintenance budget impact
Work with various departments and ensure a functional call out and off shift coverage system exists to meet business requirements
Partner with Human Resources to address issues with personnel, payroll, schedules, admin guidelines
Accountable for the performance of contractors working in the area, work with the various contract management teams to deliver the best for the business
Contribute to the contract management team and take on Contract owner and Contract holder​-roles and responsibilities such as ensuring safe execution of all central based contractors such as divers, scaffold, industrial cleaning, civil work, insulators, cranes, rental equipment, and fuel delivery
Qualifications:
Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a maintenance organization with various support trades as direct and indirect reports
Minimum 5 years in a direct line leadership capacity, accountable for the safety and delivery of set goals and targets
Experience in SAP, GSmAP and CMMS systems
Experience in LSS, 4DX and lean, along with 5S and other forms of continuous improvement
Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft office suite
Ability to speak in front of groups and deliver messages to multiple teams through various means of communications
