SUMMARY
Global Management Services, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking an Irrigation Technician for The DFC Roads & Grounds/Snow Removal contract in Lakewood, Colorado for the Night/Weekend shift.  Performs
nightly checks on irrigation, turf, open space, and hardscape areas.  Cleans dirty sprinkler heads, evaluates sprinklers for over and under watering, and fixes heads spraying off intended areas.  Checks for ice and snow in the winter time in key locations.  Documents all completed work for GMS to be submitted to the government.  Works fairly independently, receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Runs tests, troubleshoots, and makes minor repairs
Tests Baseline automatic system for functionality
Performs field inspections
Documents parts used for repair
Filling out work orders and reports for the government
Work independently without supervision
Flexible to assist grounds crew in other duties
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
High School Diploma

Neat handwriting or means to keep notes
Problem solving
Organized
General math computation
Preferred
4 years of experience in irrigation
2 years of experience in Baseline Systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working outdoors and driving in extreme heat/cold and possibly raining weather. Employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to squeeze and pull objects; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; lifting and/or moving items weighing 25-50 pounds is required. Use of hand tools to perform the job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed outside mostly and occasionally in an office setting with exposure to computer screens.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to the government facility. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
