Boiler Operator

Profile

Position involves maintenance and lubrication of ALL Boiler room equipment, housekeeping of air compressor Room, Boiler Room, and Water Heater Room. Operate, Maintain and monitor all equipment in these areas and help maintain paperwork; and participate in Record Keeping. Work in confined spaces, and work at heights and in extreme heat and cold. Will work around various chemicals, will troubleshoot problems with the system and work with electricity. Must also be able to lead team during annual boiler inspection. Must possess good verbal and written communication and be able to do simple math calculations with or without the use of a calculator.

Follow instructions given by Supervisor. Will be responsible for giving tours of boiler during any audits. Physical use of hands, arms, feet, legs, back; climbing stairs, ladders, working on roof, and confined spaces are part of the daily activities of this position. This position is responsible for alerting management of any system upsets or problems.

Person in this position will attend any necessary meetings that may concern the boiler, hot water system, filter and air compressors. Be willing to assist engineering and contractors with projects. Self-motivated and able to work alone without supervision; Follow instruction, adapt readily to changes and work well with others.

Requirements:


Must be able to obtain an Arkansas Boiler Operator’s License

Must be able to obtain a forklift license to drive a forklift and a pallet jack.

Must complete an on-line job application in Workday

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
