We are looking to recruit Band 3 Healthcare support workers into our friendly and supportive team. You can make that difference and contribute to the provision of high quality care, within a variety of community settings, which include the patient's home and clinic settings. If you would like to learn new skills including end of life care, wound care and holistic care planning (to name a few), then we would welcome your application.
The Winchester Rural East Integrated community team model aspires to provide a responsive, safe, effective, caring service, which is well led. The team is commissioned to reflect the needs of the local community, working alongside our partners within the primary care network.
The successful post holder will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability alongside our registered nursing team. You will be committed to working within a generic competency framework that enables you to have the clinical skills to work as a valued member of the team. The post holder will have responsibility for holistic assessments and care plans are recorded in line with Trust and Professional record keeping standards and clinical care at all times meets acceptable standards of patient safety and quality outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to develop on specialties that you may have a passion for, such as wound care, nutrition and continence to become a link nurse for the team.
The Integrated Community Team service provides cover in a large rural community within the Winchester district between the hours of 09:00 am and 23:00 pm, 7 days a week.
Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license is essential.

A DBS check is required by the Employer for this post. The Employer will undertake an initial check at the appropriate level on appointment. As a condition of employment you are required to register with the online DBS update service and maintain this registration throughout employment.
Frontline Healthcare workers (who have face-to-face contact with service users) in England will be required to ensure they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, from 1 April 2022 . To work as a frontline healthcare worker from 1 April 2022 it will be a condition of employment to be fully vaccinated. This requirement will also apply to those in ancillary support roles such as porters or receptionists who may have social contact with patients but are not directly involved in their care.
To be fully vaccinated you must receive both doses of a Covid-19 vaccination. Successful applicants will be required (unless exempt*) to provide evidence of their covid vaccination status (NHS COVID Pass) or evidence that they have commenced their journey to becoming fully vaccinated. If the required evidence cannot be provided then any offer of employment may be withdrawn.
