Company Description Job Description The energy engineer will be responsible for helping SourceOne’s clients identify opportunities for efficiency and optimization improvements in building energy systems by analyzing data, reviewing drawings and creating automated processes. The energy engineer will also be responsible for coordinating the integration of clients’ BMS and/or SCADA system data into SourceOne’s platform.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the integration of BMS data into SourceOne’s platform
Analyze energy, BMS and other operational data to make relevant recommendations
Closely coordinate with metering, energy management, and engineering teams on topics related to data integration, energy efficiency, and reporting
Coordinate with controls contractors and clients’ IT groups on issues of data security, data transfer and access
Assist the Optimization Services team in developing new rules to automate and scale energy optimization recommendations
Conduct mechanical and control system energy improvement analyses. Develop calculations by creating new tools or using existing energy modeling software and spreadsheets
Develop Measurement & Verification protocols and coordinate with the Optimization Services team to apply these protocols to Customer building data
Qualifications Education / Experience / Background
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
5 years of experience in HVAC Commissioning or Controls
Energy Efficiency experience highly preferred
Data analytics experience preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office
Passion for Energy, Sustainability, HVAC Systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
CEM or CBCP preferred
Familiarity with IPMVP is a plus
