These positions will pay between $14.90 to $20.40/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. This facility operates five days a week and produces Sausage Patties, Sausage Links and Roll Sausage.

Summary:

Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass and separate meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL POSITIONS:

Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task and using two handed safety controls

Must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies

Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment

Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor

Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.

Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent

Responsible for one or more of the following depending on positions available:

Inspecting carcass and making precision cut to remove quality defects (Trim Neckbones)

Making precision cuts to carcass to remove hide only to achieve desired carcass yield (Scribe/Saw Tail Bone)

Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass to remove hide only to achieve desired carcass yield (Saw Loins/Position Loins)

Responsible for operating a power toos and/or operating ergonomic lift stand by using dual foot controls to position operator at correct work height (Skin Air Knife & Relief Operator)

Operating hide puller to remove hide from carcasses while also able to remark hide & re–pull hides as needed. (Hide Skinner)• May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs

Requirements:

Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals

Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 8 to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting

Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours

Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment

Must be willing and able to complete cycles in less than 10 to 30 seconds

Must have at least 3 months previous work experience with a single employer.
