Description
This position is responsible for operating shag tractor-trailer combination in a confined space. Will require spotting trailers in and out of the loading docks in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for the cleanliness of the shag trucks on a daily basis. Responsible for Product Protection which includes monitoring temperatures, fuel levels and proper running of the refrigeration units. Will be responsible for pre-trip inspection on the Shag trucks and ensure that any defects are reported to your Supervisor immediately for repair.
Requirements
Must have effective communication skills to communicate operational issues to plant management. Must be willing to work independently and be self-motivated. Willingness to fill-in on opposite shift if needed. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Must be willing to become shag-tractor qualified.
Truck driving experience preferred. Valid driver’s license is required.
