CLIMBING ARBORIST -DAVEY TREE RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL DIVISION -MENLO PARK, CA

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking Experienced Climbing Arborists  to join our Residential & Commercial Tree Care team in Menlo Park, CA (San Mateo county)

 

DUTIES:

*Responsible for climbing, pruning and removing trees on residential and commercial properties *Assist Foreman in completing all aspects of Tree Pruning, Removal, Cabling & Bracing by working as both second climber and ground crew *Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal, as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects *Operate Chippers, Trucks, Aerial Lifts, stump grinders or special equipment *Participate in job-site Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process *Maintain issued climbing gear, chainsaw, and shared crew equipment as directed by Foreman *Complete Davey Aerial Rescue Training *Make satisfactory progress in Davey Career Development Program

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

*1-2 years' professional tree care experience *Valid Driver's License required *CDL-Class B is highly valueable  *Ability to satisfactorily perform Tree Trimmer-Climber duties *Under direct supervision ability to demonstrate proficiency:

*Climbing trees with closed or open climbing system *Pruning to ANSI A300 standards *Operating chippers and chainsaws

*Bucket truck experience preferred *Equipment maintenance *Safe working procedures *Customer service *Strong tree ID skills, installation experience of cables

*High school diploma or equivalent preferred *Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
