Job Summary:

With minimal direction, analyze and determine causes associated with manual, automatic, CNC and NC machine tools.

Make Mechanical and electrical repairs, request needed parts, etc.

Diagnose problems affecting the operation of production machinery.

Determine whether problem is mechanical, electrical or hydraulic in nature and decide best approach for making repairs.

Obtain or request needed parts to complete repairs in the shortest time possible to eliminate extensive loss of production.

Trouble shoot electrical problems with VOM, amprobe, oscilloscope, etc.

Respond to written work requests as directed.

Observe all safety procedures and policies.

Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.

Must cooperate and work well with others.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Practical experience required in repair of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment pertaining to NC and CNC machine tools.

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 2 years experience in actual repair of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.

Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Skill in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic malfunctions of machine tools and superior knowledge to correct problem causes.

Strong knowledge of machine tool operation, fundamentals of electronic equipment and mechanical mechanisms.

Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics, to troubleshoot hydraulic systems, and be above average in the repair and maintenance of machine shop equipment.

To reason analytically in order to find and repair problem causes.
