This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
This position is responsible for the accurate setting of each line by identifying each material, bringing correct product to line, checking that there are enough supplies to finish the item being run and scanning each item before going to the next phase. The candidate must provide necessary supplies in the proper condition in accordance with company policy. Must maintain a clean working environment. Responsibilities may include returning unused items to proper storage locations. Responsible for keeping up with all materials and reporting misuse of raw materials and supplies. Alert appropriate personnel of potential spoilage of raw materials. Perform a daily inspection on each lift and report damage to appropriate personnel. Assist plant personnel with tasks requiring forklift operation. Ability to operate pallet wrap machine and ability to train others in its safe and proper operation. Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively for training purposes. Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees. Must be willing and able to routinely lift up to 65 lbs.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of forklift experience required. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is required.
