A large number of positions are available within Estates and Facilities for Cleaners on the main University of Plymouth City Centre Campus. Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor and as a member of the team, you will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, progressive and customer focused cleaning service, delivering a high quality environment across a diverse range of University facilities. Through your activities you will contribute to a positive student experience, supporting students throughout their journey, from enquiry to alumni, providing a culture that engages students as genuine partners with University of Plymouth. You will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning or equivalent (or willingness to achieve) You will have a reasonable degree of physical fitness as you will be required to move, lift and carry equipment, supplies and waste bags on a daily basis. The ability to operate machinery appropriate to the post is also required. You will have effective customer service and manual handling skills and possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. A level of computer knowledge would also be advantageous. The hours and locations may vary depending on the position appointed to and are subject to the business need, however currently we are looking to recruit cleaning staff to work on the following patterns: Please ensure you indicate on the application for the position(s) you are applying for.
