Job Description Assists Tank Farm Operator with truck unloading, sampling, pumping, cleaning of strainers, tanker rinsing, equipment repairs, housekeeping, etc. Provide routine power shot deslagging of the incinerator. Duties are performed in accordance with a detailed knowledge of the Standard Division Procedures, Health/Safety regulations, permit rules and other company requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Receive manifest packet, disposal ticket, profile, and lab report on incoming loads. Verify paperwork and direct tanker trucks for liquid off-loading.

 Connect hoses, open valves, operates pumps for the transfer of liquids from bulk fuel truck, and rinse out truck prior to departure from the area.

 Retrieve the liquid sample from the appropriate tank after off-loading, complete appropriate labeling, and delivers it to the lab for analysis.

 Operate process control equipment for the transfer of liquids from tank to tank or tank to incinerator as necessary.

 Monitor temp during operations and make necessary adjustments to control process within proper limits.

 Perform compliance checks in assigned areas and take remedial action on findings to ensure compliance.

 Monitor equipment performance and servicing, including cleaning of filters, pump screens, and lines, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, etc.

 Perform timely maintenance checks and preventive maintenance.

 Measure tanks where liquid was pumped to calculate the volume added after transfer.

 Maintain accurate operating logs and waste tracking records.

 Maintain housekeeping in work areas.

 Assist Tank Farm Operator by monitoring contract personnel and work performed in tank farm areas.

 Perform data entry on a computer (generator profile, sample log, drum inventory, etc.)

 Perform power shot operations in the incinerator as directed and maintains all power shot equipment and related supplies.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education/Experience:

 High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

 No unsatisfactory work performance issues and must be qualified in current position (6) months or more required.

 Currently holds or previously held a position which by definition of task and/or area required a person to be trained to a level of hazardous waste operator required.

 Minimum one-year process operations preferred.

 Minimum one-year hazardous material handling operations preferred.

 Minimum one year of equipment operations preferred.

 Must be able to perform the job requirements and pass a verbal and/or written skill/proficiency test for the position within a reasonable orientation/training period set by Supervisor.

 Support container movement elsewhere in the facility when not actively performing tank farm duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

 Ability to pass a respirator fit test.

 Strong team player

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

 Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines

 Strong customer orientation
