Job Details:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates in a safe manner, and in accordance to all company policies and procedures.
Processes bills of ladings.
Runs material requirement reports and determines needed transfers.
Uses a handheld computer to pick and scan product to outbound loads.
Communicates effectively to TM’s and coordinates with Lead(s).
Troubleshoots discrepancies and material shortages.
Receives inbound purchase orders and transfers.
Operates powered pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck. Inspects daily, charges batteries, maintains battery water level, and changes batteries as necessary.
Moves inventory in an organized manner to store in a subzero freezer, cooler, and a dry goods area.
Stack, configure, and load products that are bound for shipment to our customers.
Assumes responsibilities for Lead (PR06) in case of their absence.
Responsible for training Forklift Operator PR03 and PR04 team members in their essential duties and responsibilities.
Provides information on daily shift notes.
Ensures paperwork is done accurately, consistently, and in accordance with Tyson Foods, Inc. policy directives and standard operating procedures.
Ensures all raw materials and finished goods are labeled correctly.
Maintains an organized and clean work environment according to 5S principles, GMP’s, and USDA regulations.
Reports any damages, discrepancies, unsafe behaviors, and risks to Lead(s).
REQUIREMENTS:
6-month powered industrial truck experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
Must obtain certification and operate safely all Portland, ME site specific Powered Industrial Equipment by Tyson Foods, Inc. standards within 90 days.
Must be able to lift a 50 pounds and push/pull 100 lbs.
Must develop computer knowledge of SAP shipping and receiving functions, including tools to navigate and research discrepancies.
Must have an attention to detail and accuracy, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
Must be team oriented and thrive in a team environment.
Must show a willingness to advance and accomplish other duties as assigned.
Must possess effective leadership skills, leading by example.
Must be able to stand/sit while working in a cold environment ( -10 degrees below zero to 40 degrees F).
Must wear steel/composite toe boots that conform to site requirements.
Must be self-motivated, providing relief for other TM’s during breaks, participate in daily stretches, and comply with the break and lunch policy.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.
