SUMMARY:
Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of all control system components including the following: control panel wiring, hard-wired devices, instrumentation, I/O devices, controllers, and MMI (Man Machine Interfaces). Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Oversee the fabrication, installation, and start-up of a large control system, including, all control panel's instrumentation, I/O devices, controllers, and MMI.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors, as to ensure the completion of sub-contracted projects as applied to the control systems.
Perform print reviews and coordinate with others on their corrections.
Conduct site surveys for future control systems.
Troubleshoot, modify, and repair all types of PLC software, graphic interface software, and network communication.
Coordinate with various levels of management on all aspects of control systems.
Responsible for all types of communication maintenance, RF, Modbus , TCP/IP, fiber optic, and RIO. Responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Technical Degree in a field directly related or appropriate experience.
Experience : 2 years experience in one of the following fields: Electrician, plant maintenance, mechanical technician, PLC programming, electrician.
Computer Skills: Requires knowledge in general programs, Microsoft office and Windows.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Special Skills: Specific knowledge of various controls programming software is preferred. Technical Aptitude: Broad based background in electrical & electronic fields. Must have specific knowledge of various PLC, Labeling Systems, network communications and control schemes. Must possess the ability to install control/ labeling systems from diagrams, edit circuit diagrams, and process flow diagrams for accuracy
Travel: Travel domestically approximately 50% to other locations.
Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Personal Protective Equipment: Safety goggles rubber boots and gloves and earplugs will be used as needed.
