Job Details:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Task Must be able to perform mechanical Refrigeration and electrical duties, and make adjustments and repairs. Must be able to work safely to ensure proper usage of Ammonia and other equipment Must have understanding of industrial ammonia refrigeration operation and functions of control valves Must be able to work with devices that are fragile and require precise attention. Understanding of basic shop math and have ability to use precision measuring devices Ability to read and understand blueprints Use basic hand and power tools Understanding of different types of pumps and application with the ability to troubleshoot and rebuild Understanding of basic A C and D C electrical theory and system wiring principles and installation methods Minor welding and fabrication ability a plus Understanding of compressed air systems with ability to troubleshoot and apply maintenance techniques. Able to tolerate extreme cold, hot, dry and wet environments. Ability to work well and communicate with others in a professional manner. Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, turn, climb, push, pull, carry 50 pounds as needed
Requirements Must be able to pass and maintain a PFT (pulmonary function test) Must be a member of the HAZMAT team Must be able to use and train in a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) Must remain clean shaven at all times 3 years industrial refrigeration experience 3 years industrial maintenance experience This position may require to work holidays and weekends stay late, called in early or cover other shifts.
