Job Details:
Responsible for maintaining the overall productivity of the Picking area.
The Lead assists the Supervisor in the daily operation of the area. Must have knowledge of proper crewing levels and how to maintain them. Must be able to give breaks to the Backup Killers and Backup Rehangers as necessary. Must be able to prepare work area and help retrieve needed supplies Assist supervisor and management in day to day line personnel, paper work, grower change, etc. Assist supervisor and management with maintaining controls set up by USC. Must be able to assist the Backup Rehangers in placing birds back on the overhead shackle line when lines are stopped Must be able to help recapture birds returning on the evisceration lines that were missed by the bird unloaders at the chillers. Be able to alert supervisor and management when problems arise Must be able to communicate properly with USDA Must be able to drive a truck and back up a trailer within the premises
II. MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant Must be able to climb stairs to get to and from work areas Must be able to tolerate walking, standing for duration of shift Must be able to lift 40 pounds plus Must be able to use hands, lifting, bending, twisting Must be able to use knives and scissors if required
III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, DIPLOMA, OR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB FUNCTION
Must be able to read, write and have a basic knowledge of math. Good previous work and attendance record Must possess and utilize good communication skills
