We are constantly reimagining how we get the right product to the right guest even faster and more cost-effectively than before. We are becoming more intelligent, automated and algorithmic in our decision-making, so that no matter how guests shop—in stores or on Target.com—we deliver the convenience and immediate satisfaction they demand and deserve. We are on a mission to win decisively over any competitor, with a seamless and superior guest service experience unlike any they can offer. Our teams work with the agility our mission requires, and we constantly come together to implement new processes in record time.

There’s so much good work to be done, from Distribution Center Operations, where process and problem-solving drive our results; to Quality Management, which influences and maintains our good name in the retail marketplace; and  overall Distribution Center Productivity, where we’re always analyzing and recalibrating how to best support our people, process and technology investments to support an ever evolving business.

As a Lead Warehouse Worker, you will spend most of your time performing core productive functions.  You will also coordinate work activities such as real time staffing moves and monitor performance to optimize process flow under the direction of your Operations Managers and other leaders. You will help instill a safety culture, identify training needs, and participate in root cause analysis using experience and continuous improvement methodology. You’ll also conduct control plan and standard work audits to identify gaps in these processes and contribute to leader driven continuous improvement plans. In this role, you’ll work with other team members and departments to assess product flow and quality, appropriately recommending to leadership adjustments needed to move product efficiently and safely to achieve goals. Another key component of your job will be, under the direction of your Operations Manager, to assign tasks to team members and provide specific work direction and monitoring progress daily to improve on performance and functional area goals. You will anticipate your leaders’ needs and proactively solve problems before they arise, upholding Target’s values and demonstrating professionalism and leadership.
