Job Description

The Retail Store Auditor verifies proper paper work procedures and performs audits on the retail store data. This includes auditing sales, fuel, cash, ATM's, credit cards and miscellenous other items. The specific areas of responsibility for this position are to ensure the Retail Area Managers and Store Managers are following proper paper work procedures and to identify areas of concern regarding potential theft and poor paperwork skills.

Perform retail analytical functions as it pertains to balancing store sales and method of payments. Must be able to take corrective action and problem solve.

Effectively communicate with Retail Operations Manager and Area Managers on any item that is not within the company benchmarks. Must have the ability to use good judgment in stressful situations.

Attention to detail, the ability to remain focused and avoid distractions in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for complex tasks with the skills and foresight to connect the dots and uncover discrepancies.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with a variety of departments (e.g., Retail, Accounting, Transportation, HR, etc.).

Excellent organizational skills.

A key function in this position is helping to reduce inventory shrinkage, product loss, and waste.

Ability to prioritize projects, complete assignments, and provide follow up.

Proficiency in the company's back office accounting system, which is currently PDI. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to set up forms, properly balance and analyze forms and deploy forms to retail sites.

This job will require the individual to train in and gain an understanding of our retail stores, therefore also gaining a good understanding of retail paperwork.

Communication is done primarily through Gmail. The position requires proficient skills in gmail and the ability to communicate via email.

The position requires the knowledge of Google applications, mainly Google drive.

Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Two years of accounting or auditing experience. An equivalent of education, training and experience will be considered.

Training and experience in different computer software applications.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite products.
