Sanitation Operator 3rd Shift

Job Details:

This position is responsible for covering, sanitizing, cleaning and prepping equipment for use in various departments. This person will me the main point of contact for chemical mixing, formulating, and transporting of chemical for the area and shift assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As assigned:

Operate Ecolab chemical formulator (Quadexx Pro system).

Perform “Red Apron” duties.

Operate a Fork Truck or hand truck.

LOTO equipment, tear down complex machinery, clean, reassemble machinery.

Set up CIP equipment. Including the operation of the CIP skid, sanitation pipe/flowplate proxes, and operate equipment in CIP mode. Cover motors, electrical plugs and all computer equipment.

Clean up excess waste on the floors.

Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment.

Scour all equipment with scouring pad and/or chemicals are required.

Sanitize equipment and areas with disinfectant, oil when done.

Cleaning of lights, pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.

Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data.

Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.

Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.

Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.

Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable. May use SAP if transferred / rotated.

Requirements:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Chemical formulator training and experience (preferably Ecolab Quadex Pro sytem.)

Trained and understand the risks of possible chemical interactions (Acids and Bases, Acids and Chlorinated Cleaners). Ecolab training preferred.

Experienced in working with Peracetic acid.
