POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for accurately putting away, putting down and replenishing product and/or accurately packing product, while also adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate a Hi Rise reach truck, fork-lift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment.

Lift cases of product and stack onto pallets.

Put away pallets of production and inbound product.

Load and unload blast freezer.

Ensure accuracy of product locations and case counts.

Report damaged product to Inventory personnel or shift lead person or supervisor.

Responsible for picking orders.

Maintain all goals and standards of productivity.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.

ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing and able to operate a pallet jack and forklift and pass the pallet jack and forklift test.

Basic math skills required.

Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.

Must be able to maintain prompt and regular job attendance.

Fork-lift experience preferred.

Must be willing and able to work in below freezing temperatures for extended periods of time.

Must be willing and able to perform the assigned tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.

Must be willing and able to lift 50lbs.

INTERNAL: Must not have more than 5 attendance occurrences. Must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months. Must be in your current position for a minimum of six (6) months unless this job is a higher class than you currently hold.
