Starting Pay $14.00
With increases at 6 and 9 months and at one (1) year the base rate will be $21.60 with yearly increases.
A shift Differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Work Shift:
1st Shift (weekends and overtime as needed)
Position Description:
This position includes but not limited to being able to perform the setup, operation, tear down and minor maintenance of the equipment in the department to include the efficient operation of the grinder and mixer.
Responsibilities:
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
Responsible for maximizing the number of Preblend batches that fall within established ranges for fat content.
Make adjustments to the formulation program as necessary.
Must add ingredients according to formulation specifications and complete all written documentation required.
Must help to ensure that raw materials are utilized in the proper rotation.
Job rotation includes unloading and scaling incoming raw materials, checking internal temperature and quality of incoming meat, supplying the line with product, and supply tanks to the area.
Input data to the CRT and handle all paperwork associated with receiving incoming raw materials.
The operator is responsible for properly tracking all products through the department using manual or automatic systems.
May be required to spot their own trailers, operate dumpers and meat conveyor, and haul/wash empty tanks/vats.
Visually inspects raw materials for bone, cartilage, gristle, foreign materials and spoiled meat.
Responsible for crushing and disposing of boxes, combo bins, liners, and pallets as well as other general housekeeping duties.
Box material that is to be returned to suppliers.
Wash equipment when necessary.
Responsible for the condition of the tow motor and battery as well as thermometers that must be checked in to and out of the lab.
Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
Must be able to obtain a tow motor certification.
Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 50 pounds frequently, required.
Ability to life/carry/cower greater than 20 pounds with back and legs
Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 10 hrs.
Occasional climbing of stairs several times per hour when required.
Ability to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
Able to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position
