Title: Maintenance Generalist Lead – Full Time – Sanford, NC 27332

Position Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

General Maintenance Lead positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This position requires that in the absence of a supervisor, bring Daily Reports to Daily Meetings to discuss along with any documentation or actions completed, ensure that all scheduled work is completed and assist in the development of prevention plants for all major downtime issued and implement till successful. This position also requires building PMs per manufacturing recommendations with plant input as needed, reviewing/modifying PMs for quality and correct tasks list, training for Techs, Production, Sanitation, and or Supervisory Staff w/dates, times and people. Also, must be able to modify equipment for improved easier PMs, quicker change over’s, less downtime and or less material usage, investigating qualify materials to increase uptime and lower maintenance labor cost and adjust schedules to have resources available when work needs to be completed. This position requires that you are able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. This position also requires trouble shooting of various mechanical issues in an industrial setting. This position requires the use of Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet/ and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to airborne particles (primarily flour dust), and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. Must be willing to complete all required training, both hands on and computer based, as required for the job.
