SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies LLC (GAT), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified

Supply Technician

. The

Supply Technician

perform support services for non-GIN tasks that exceed the organic Task Force Marshall capabilities detailed within the PWS. Support includes but is not limited to the processing, administrative functions, and any other function necessary to train USAR and United States Navy Individual Augmentees (NIACT).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide TFM with trained logistics personnel to train 2000 Sailors.

Perform management duties for BN contractor supply section personnel, ensuring proper guidance and training from BN level Supply personnel.

Responsible for ensuring companies are logistically ready for training missions.

Assist Soldiers to support unit logistical readiness.

Assist in monitoring the Command Supply Discipline Program of the BN to ensure it is fully implemented.

Ensure TFM contractor operations at the Ft. Jackson ASP have zero deficiencies and monitor TFM Ammunition Holding Area for deficiencies.

Monitor and assist with unit sensitive item inventories, change of command, annual, and other inventories to ensure they are conducted to standard.

Assist with all inventories, monitor, and account for sensitive items and BN Property Book Items for change of command, annual cyclic and other inventories IAW FAR Part 45.

Maintain adequate property accountability and record keeping of Government-owned property.

Coordinate new equipment fielding. Monitor and coordinate along with BN S-4, the lateral transfer and turn-in of excess equipment.

Analyze statistical data and reports to determine trends and conformance to standards and directives.

Receive, inspect, and inventory organizational supplies and equipment as required. Prepares and maintains hand receipts.

May be required to transport student personnel and or equipment in commercial vehicles (i.e. Buses, up to but not limited to a 15 Ton) to and from training areas and events.

Read, interpret, and reconcile PBUS-E generated reports. Demonstrate working knowledge of PBUSE and CSDP procedures. (PBUSE is slated to become Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army) before this TO expires)

Perform all other duties as required by the Project Manager. Normal duty day requires occasional evening meetings with unit leadership.

Report head count estimates for NIACT according to local SOP to Food Service Contract Management (FSCM) and McCrady Cafeteria Manager. Attend FS coordination meetings as required.

Coordinate with companies to determine their feeding plans and numbers and relay this information to the Cafeteria Manager.

Continue to maintain contact with the companies and BN S3 to monitor changes to the training schedule that might require changes to the feeding plan.

Report any un-forecasted changes in the number of meals required and work with BN S-4, Cafeteria Manager and FSCM to work out any discrepancies in numbers.

Coordinate through FSCM for shelf stables or MRE’s in support of each training cycle.

Coordinate with on-site Cafeteria Manager for any special events that require meal support.

Coordinate with company command teams and/or supply sergeants/training NCO; Ensure every student is fed from reception through departure.

Coordinate monthly ice distribution with BN S-4, Fort Jackson DOL and G-4.

Coordinate with the Family Readiness Group S1 OIC, the MWR committee, and the Battalion Commander and his staff to plan for the execution of FRG and MWR events sponsored by the battalion.

Coordinate with BN S-4 to facilitate, and execute the Sailor/Soldier cook outs within the training cycle.

Ensure the supply rooms are IAW installation and CSDP regulatory requirements, to include cleanliness.

Track and maintain a level of inventory IAW BN SOP, CSDP guidance and coordinate with the BN S-4 for re-stocking when levels fall below dictated levels.

Assist BN S-4 with visibility of NIACT equipment stock levels. Coordinate for loan or reconstitution or of supplies and equipment as required.

Maintain BN and logistical key control and ensure key control is properly executed and documented IAW applicable CSDP and regulatory guidance.

Required to attend trainings/briefings to represent BN on items related to logistical activity of the unit.

Provide the Task Force with trained personnel to support issuing and maintaining services to motor pool vehicles

Evaluate transportation options and determine transportation requirements based on student class size, mission and available vehicles.

Coordinate with G-4/TACOM to forecast and obtain alternate transportation/movement requirements when necessary.

Ensure that PMCS is conducted on all TFM managed equipment. This includes ensuring that all associated paperwork is filled out by user.

Ensure all equipment is accounted for using hand receipts to the lowest level user, to include vehicle basic issue items (BII).

Consolidate, prepare, review and process vehicle status reports.

Oversee TFM PMCS Program to include the preparation of reports. Perform all duties as prescribed by TFM PMCS SOP.

Ensure vehicles meet maintenance support requirements, develop and maintain periodic maintenance schedules with SCARNG, Fort Jackson TACOM, TMP, G-4 and installation maintenance support for both tactical and non-tactical vehicle fleet (GSA).

Become licensed and certified on New Equipment received to support training requirements to serve as the SME for all TFM managed equipment, necessary for mission continuity

Update, monitor, and track all government vehicles to ensure all are mission capable; a constant updated status on all vehicles will be provided when necessary.

Ensure all vehicles are Fully Mission Capable (FMC) and help develop SOPs and guidance relating to the operation of the TF motor pool and/or GSA fleet.

Monitor fuel, mileage, and Non-Fair Wear and Tear (NFWT) charges on all GSA fleet vehicles. Report all charges to BN S-4.

Coordinate with TF S4 and companies for inspection and dispatch of all GSA fleet vehicles. Ensure all vehicles are dispatched IAW due dates and applicable regulations.

Ensure all installation and TF safety policies are strictly enforced and reports violations accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Basis understand of Military Supply and Transportation systems.

Must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.

Be able to operate a Personal Computer with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work. Be able to troubleshoot common computer hardware & software problems.

Have a working knowledge of Army and Navy rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc. and Navy equivalents).

Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.

Have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to pass extensive background investigation and pre-employment medical testing.

Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance and pass a local security screening.

Must be able to articulate, speak, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Contractor shall maintain a high standard of dress and appearance (Business Casual).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules and regulations.

Meet physical/health requirements for duties.

Must be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with Army and Navy Personnel.

Preferred

Experience in Logistics (Supply and Transportation).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervisory responsibility of one personnel.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
