Description
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
Responsibilities
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 supports Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs developed to optimize health outcomes which includes effective communication with patients and providers. Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
The Disease Management Technician will:
Enter critical patient information into ScriptMed system, including but not limited to Insurance information, medication profile, drug allergies, etc.
Communicate and interact with fellow team members to meet department goals.
Welcome new members to the pharmacy and provide a positive onboarding experience.
Ensure patients receive their medication both timely and accurately.
Facilitate patients in receiving financial assistance.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
PTCB Certified
Pharmacy Technician License in the state of AZ
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
Must live within 100 miles of Glendale office
Schedule
: 8:30am - 5pm; 1 rotating late night per week 11:30am - 8pm
