SUMMARY

Eagle Eye, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified General Maintenance Worker for Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, Texas. The General Maintenance Worker is needed to provide general maintenance and repair of various base equipment and building components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Generator Maintenance

General maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as: Painting

Carpentry

Plumbing

Masonry

Electrical Work

Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, lights

Use of plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings

Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Two (2) years’ experience as a general maintenance worker

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Basic knowledge of general maintenance, and some troubleshooting preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working outdoors and driving in extreme heat/cold and possibly raining weather. Employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Lifting and/or moving items weighing 50-75 pounds is required. Use of hand tools to perform the job.

Able to work in hot or cold environment, either indoors or outside to perform duties.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work, and have basic hand tools. Must be able to obtain access to military installations.
