This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.

SUMMARY:

This position in the plant parts/materials/supplies storeroom. Primary responsibility is the purchasing of all plant MRO materials and management of the plant Storeroom/Inventory. Responsible for daily phone contact with vendors to determine material specs, optimal parts/material pricing/ availability, and shipment lead times. Initiates the purchasing process through daily entry/submittal of purchase orders for the purchase of parts/materials/supplies and miscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. As a member of the Maintenance Department, is expected to provide timely, positive response/support as needed, to Production operations. Must exhibit a positive attitude while performing job in a professional manner. Must take pride in the appearance/condition of the Storeroom area and help in maintaining an organized/pristine condition. Communication/interaction with plant personnel to clarify/understand parts/materials purchasing needs.

Contact vendors for ordering/pricing information as needed. Continual research into competitive pricing and improved value of buy as needed. Promote/initiate positive business relationships with vendors, assure plant compliance with all corporate Tyson vendor purchasing agreements. Prep parts, equipment, etc. for shipment, including documentation. Manage work order kitting and organization. Accurate data entry, clerical duties related to CMMS. Monitor, identify, adjust, proper/accurate inventory levels(min/max) As needed, expedites/tracks purchase orders and follows up with vendors to assure the timely ordering/receiving of parts/materials/supplies. Issuing of parts/materials/supplies/tools from inventory. Setup of new parts/materials/supplies/tools in inventory. Janitorial/cleaning duties in Storeroom and Maintenance Office areas. Must adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Parts Room experience or maintenance background preferred.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including generating spreadsheets and capability to learn and understand our computerized inventory system.

Communication: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Candidate must be willing to submit to a drug screen and post offer health assessment. Hourly Internal applicant must have 4 points attendance at time of application
