Job Description:
What is the role?
The Laboratory Technician is responsible in performing daily testing and laboratory support functions in 12 hour rotating shift. This role is expected to assess workload and adjust time to complete work within timelines needed to meet customer demands. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be required to enter analytical results into quality reporting and work with all site staff as needed to support in completing various projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Quality
Assist in writing procedures and work instructions for laboratory testing.
Provide analytical support to development of new procedures.
Participate in procedure reviews.
Participate in laboratory reference sample testing program.
Equipment
Perform analytical test such as pore volume, surface area, loss on ignition, metals on XRF.
Perform instrument validation and calibration as assigned and keep accurate documentation of all equipment verification and service.
Assist in maintaining equipment folders with information on calibration, standard COA’s, and service records for each item on critical equipment list.
Assist with maintaining Critical Equipment List.
Key Challenges
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
Ability to take direction from multiple sources, and manage time to meet daily testing needs as well as satisfy longer term commitments to project support.

Requirements:
What we need from you?
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of laboratory experience required.
Good organizational and time management skills as well as the ability and desire to learn new skills.
Ability to multi-task is essential for success in this position.
Detail oriented with good documentation skills, including written and oral communication is necessary.
Demonstrates good teamwork.
Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
