Starting Pay $17.00 hour with Weekly Payroll

This position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the chicks being processed, and report deficiencies to Lead or Supervisor so they can take appropriate action. Team member must be able to keep up with line speed and be able to make decisions in a quick manner. Inform Lead or Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns or production problems. Conduct work flow for the Hatchery operation.

Chick Delivery Helper: Team member will help place baby chicks into Broiler houses.

Puller & Separator: During this process, the team member will pull buggies of chicks to the separator room. Then they will pick up the trays of chicks and place them on the separator belt, then the empty trays get loaded in the tray wash.

Chick Grader/Sorter: Team member will identify unthrifty chicks on the line and remove them from the process.

Box Stacker: In this process, the team member is responsible for the stacking of check boxes onto pallets and pulling pallets to the dock.

Egg Setter: Team member is responsible for pulling eggs into pre-warm hallways and setting the eggs into the incubators. Perform checks on the incubators to insure proper operation.

Cleaning/Sanitizing: Team member is responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation duties in assigned areas of the Hatchery.

Special Skills Required:

Requires use of hand, arm, and legs to perform production processes for proper chick handling, perform proper quality and quantity, and performing line duties as required. Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.

Environmental: Work inside facility, wet floors, cold and hot work environment depending on what area of the Hatchery, utilize sanitizing agents in water, and hand wash stations. Exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals. Moving objects, electrical and mechanical hazards. Adequate lighting and ventilation.

Schedule: Hours per day and days per week will vary. Most Holidays are scheduled workdays.

Education: Basic reading and general safety.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate well with others and supervisor.
