Job Description Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Provide day to day maintenance of system equipment including pumps, valves, motors, emergency generators, control systems and all other mechanical equipment located throughout the wastewater system.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance work orders on equipment as generated by the computerized maintenance management system.
Work in coordination with mechanical and operation staff to isolate and de-energize equipment.
Conduct troubleshooting of pumping and mechanical system issues as identified by operations and maintenance staff.
Conduct daily pump station inspections.
Qualifications Education / Experience / Background
5 years experience as a mechanic in an industrial facility.
Valid State of CT (or equivalent) drivers license.
Experience working in a Water or Wastewater Treatment Facility prefered.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge and experience working on pumps up to 300 hp.
Ability to read drawings and schematics to conduct troubleshooting.
Ability to participate in rotating maintenance on-call schedules.
Coordination of projects including safe work planning, parts list development and resource allocation.
